Steven Guess’ practice is focused on public law, litigation, water rights, and eminent domain.  Mr. Guess serves as lead counsel on litigation matters and advises KG Law clients regarding the Public Records Act, the Brown Act, Government Claims Act, public contracting, and water rights issues.  Mr. Guess is a skilled litigator with more than ten years of experience, who has handled all aspects of litigation, from drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions to trials in complex litigation matters.

 

Prior to joining KG Law, Mr. Guess served as a Deputy City Attorney for the cities of Riverside and San Diego.  Mr. Guess provided representation on various matters pertaining to the Government Claims Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Constitutional claims, eminent domain, and inverse condemnation.  Mr. Guess also has transactional law experience drafting contracts on behalf of public entities and providing transactional advice and guidance.
